Art and IllustrationssIn high school I dreamed of going to art school so I could work in animation and gaming. I ended up taking a safer and more pragmatic route in choosing a business degree and ended up racking up some cool experiences in school.
Some highlights include:
While it was a long windy road (I didn't end up as an accountant as planned), I was able to end up graduating with a specialization in Marketing Research and finding a new passion in UX. I still really enjoy drawing in my spare time though (if I am not playing games). I use Clip Studio and a Huion graphics tablet. The little monk with the red hair and gloves in the group images below is my D&D character from a weekly campaign I have been part of with the same group for over 3 years now. If you think my design documentation is neat, ask me to see my documentation system for D&D! |
Games
I love board games that can be taught within 5 minutes so I can introduce them to people who might not play board games often. Some of my favourite go-tos are Splendor, Bohnanza, and Blockus. My more intense games are still wrapped and waiting for the perfect crew to patiently learn them with me.
I also play many digital games and between my partner and I we have one of each gaming system, a VR setup and too many computers in the house. |
Photography
Everyone with a DSLR is getting into photography as a hobby these days, with myself included. In addition to the common travel photography, I like to volunteer my time for friends and charity events that come my way. Most of these photos were taken with a Canon 6D, but I recently upgraded to a shiny new Sony A7M4 <3
